Blue Note Laminate or Solid Woods

The Bluenote is a laminate back and top 16″ archtop. Comes with a Kent Armstrong PAF in body pickup. This guitar is designed to play out without worry of feedback. But is also sensitive enough to have a live acoustic tone. So it’s versatile for both live or recording situations. The laminates are the same ones made for James D’Aquisto.

Available in amber (below) or my traditional tangerine burst (as seen on video)

Video

In this video, Julian Lage performs on the Blue Note in an ensemble featuring George Marsh (drums) and Randy Vincent (guitar), with sound by Gary Woods, from the Bruce Latimer Show, 25 June 2003 (Pacifica CA).

Features

Five ply maple/mahogany archtop and archback with solid curly maple sides. This laminate is handmade by me in very limited numbers. The custom made PAF pickup (with adjustable pole pieces) delivers a full warm tone with on board volume and tone controls.

Light tangerine maple burst finish with all hand carved ebony appointments, including a “variable tension” ebony tailpiece, with gold plated hardware, a curly maple neck with ebony peghead overlay and the “Manzer” signature inlayed with abalone. Available with either traditional art deco f-holes or triangular sound holes.
